CBS News: Why is President Obama sending more troops to Syria?
President Obama will send up to 250 additional military personnel inside war-raved Syria to work with opposition forces trying to defeat ISIS.
The president delivered the news in Hannover, Germany while visiting a major industrial trade fair. One group of militias fighting ISIS in Syria said they're happy to get more troops, but also need more weapons.
The president's decision expands the American military footprint in Syria,m from 50 commandos to 300 -- something the president has been very reluctant to do. But this is an attempt to squeeze ISIS as much as he can before leaving office, reports CBS News correspondent Margaret Brennan.
